Mr. Hari Balaji hails from Chennai, India and an alumnus of Swiss Hotel Management School, Switzerland and Sri Ramachandra University, India. He is a versatile professional with comprehensive international leadership experience in wide spectrum of service models encompassing healthcare and hospitality for over a decade. He has held management positions in pre-opening, renovation and re-branding phases with the world’s most prominent brands in India, Switzerland, Singapore, USA and Kuwait. His focus areas include facilitating Inter Agency Coordination, Training and Capacity Building, Collaborative Advocacy and Information Knowledge and Learning Management through a collaborative process. Also, he has served as a Consultant/ Master Trainer for UNICEF and UNFPA assignments indifferent parts of India. He regularly conducts orientation programmes and workshops in India's premium institutions including IIT Madras. As a trainer he has so far educated wide range of audience from different domains. As a State Manager for flood response and coordination in Sphere India he has coordinated the rescue and relief efforts with various local, state, national and global agencies. In recognition of his contribution during the Tamil Nadu Floods 2015, he received "Bhale Bharath Award of Excellence" by Indian Science Monitor. He is certified by World Health Organisation (WHO) on “Emergency Risk Management” and Master Trainer for Minimum Initial Services Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health during Disasters by UNFPA.
